Free Stop the Bleed Training at Octorara on January 25

The Stop the Bleed initiative is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. The Octorara Area School District is partnering with Hahnemann Hospital to offer the training in the district on Friday, January 25, 2019, as part of a scheduled professional development day. Seats are available for interested community members to train, free of charge, alongside Octorara employees. The program begins at 8:00 a.m. and should take no more than an hour. Please contact Sarah Morrissey, High School Nurse, at 610-593-8254 extension 6504 or smorrissey@octorara.org to register for the training.
