    This is an instructional program that provides instruction in the fields of sales, distribution and marketing operations and focuses on the process and techniques of direct wholesale and retail buying and selling operations. Students will learn to interpret marketing and business fundamentals, solve problems of marketing, explore career opportunities, computer applications, communications, manage marketing information and issues, selling goods and services, advertising, customer service, purchasing, merchandising, and operations of retail businesses.

    3.0 Credits

    The Business Marketing Career Pathway is a rigorous two year career and technical education pathway.  This course is for students who have a business career plan in the fields of sales, and/or distribution and marketing operations. The pathway focuses on the process and techniques of direct wholesale and retail buying and selling operations.  In addition, this pathway includes varying emphasis on technical knowledge of products and/or services marketed; related communication, economic, technological and computation skills; and abilities and attitudes associated with human relations. The pathway may also include management functions associated with owning and operating a business. Students must successfully complete all courses listed below, participate in FBLA, and take the NOCTI.  All courses must be successfully completed to be eligible for the PA Business Marketing Career Pathway Skills Certificate.
