Mr. Brooks - Principal
Mr. Brooks started his teaching career at Woodland Hills High School, which is located just outside the city of Pittsburgh as a Biology and Zoology Teacher. After receiving his Masters in Education from Duquesne University, he was encouraged by the building principal to move into administration, and was appointed to the position of Assistant Principal at Woodland Hills High.
After his time at Woodland Hills, Mr. Brooks accepted the position of Assistant Principal in Shaler Area School District, located just outside the City of Pittsburgh. He spent time as an Assistant Principal at Shaler Area Intermediate School (grades 8-9) and Shaler Area High School.
In January of 2011, Mr. Brooks was named Principal of Riverside Beaver County High School, which is located Northwest of the City of Pittsburgh. It is a small rural High School with a student population of around 475 students in grades 9-12. He spent 9 years as Principal of RIverside High School.
Mr. Brooks is excited to begin his tenure as Principal of Octorara JR/SR High School. His focus is, “Every Kid, Every Day!” and looks forward to working with the students, staff and community to continue to make Octorara, “Someplace Special”.
