The OPLC has been teaching our students about BIG DEALS and little deals. These prosocial skills will help students to determine what is a little deal and what is a BIG DEAL and how to respond to both. When determining if something is a BIG DEAL, students ask the following 3 questions: ·Is someone hurting me? (hitting, kicking, biting, scratching, etc) ·Is someone in danger? ·Am I worried or afraid? Students will also be learning that if the same little deal happens consistently by the same person, then it is a BIG DEAL. BIG DEALS are Green, which means “GO Report!” Please consider using this same language when problem solving at home by determining what is a BIG DEAL and what is a little deal.
