Hello Octorara K-6 Families!
The Octorara K-6 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of parents, teachers and staff working together for the educational and social benefits of our children, the Octorara School District, and our broader community. As a parent of a child at Octorara, YOU are automatically a member of the organization. One of the key elements that ensures success of our organization is parent involvement. Research shows that “students with parents who get involved tend to achieve higher test scores, have more positive attitudes and behaviors, and the schools they operated in were successful and effective.”
Our goal is to offer timely communication and act as a parent and teacher resource for events and programs happening within the PLC, OES, and OIS. We aim to provide instant access when and where you need it, and at your convenience. The PTO strives to provide information that:
- Benefits our students;
- Promotes school communication;
- Raises awareness for school activities;
- Raise funds to support school activities, classrooms, students and teachers;
- Share business offers and discounts; and,
- Promote community well being.
