Jump Rope for Heart
Who: All Students at the OPLC participate, but not all students are mandated to have sponsors.
What: Jump Rope for Heart is an annual event where students are able to gather sponsors to raise money for the American Heart Association (AHA). Messages of staying tobacco free, eating right and exercise as a lifestyle are reinforced while raising dollars for the development of life-saving research.
When: March 15, 2010
Where: Multi-Purpose Room (Gymnasium)
Why: Heart disease a stroke are the #1 and #3 killers in the US. They account for almost as many deaths as all pother causes combined. Research funded by the AHA in the past was solely responsible for CPR and other life-saving measures that impact all Americans.
How: Information will be given to students in the beginning of March 2019.
