  •  Box Tops for Education
     The Octorara Intermediate School is continuously collecting Box Tops and Labels for Education!
    These can all be turned into money and points that can help our school purchase items such as new playground equipment, school supplies, technology and more!
    **Box Tops for Educations:
    Some common brands and products to look for Box Tops on are:
    -General Mills cereal (Cheerios, Chex, cinnamon toast Crunch)
    -Betty Crocker (cakes, cookies, brownies)
    -Ziploc (storage bags, food containers)
    -Hanes (socks, t-shirts, underwear)
    **Labels for Educations:
    Some common brands and products to look for points on are:
    -Pepperidge Farm (Goldfish, breads and cookies)
    -Campbells (soups, spaghettios, gravy)
    -Swanson (broth, canned products)
    -Glad (food storage containers)
    -Post Cereals (Raisin Bran, Honey Bunches of Oats)

    Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 15th from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  You may schedule a conference for ELA, MATH, Learning Support and/or Unified Arts ONLY.  No conferences will be scheduled for Science or Social Studies.     Parent Pick-up Procedures

     Car Logo
    • Parents should arrive by 3:15pm for end of day dismissal.
    • Parents will sign their student out in the main office.
    • Valid pick-up will be by parent/guardian or by names on emergency contact list.
    • If there is a special circumstance where someone other than those listed need to pick up your child, a note must be submitted to the office that morning.
    • All individuals must show valid ID.
    • Children will not be dismissed between 3:00pm & 3:20pm without a note provided in the morning.




  •  Lice
    • Please remember to notify your school nurse if your child has head lice
    • Building will maintain CONFIDENTIALITY
    • Students with live lice OR viable nites may stay in school and will be referred for treatment at the end of the school day
    • Siblings will be inspected and parent notified
    • Treat promptly removing ALL live lice and viable nits
    • MUST be escorted by parent upon return and rechecked by school nurse before returning to classroom 
    • School nurse is authorized to require proof of treament and may exclude as needed
    • ***No more classroom head lice checks
    • ***No more "Head Lice Notification" letters sent home
    • PLEASE BE PROACTIVE!!! Perform weekly head checks on your child, encourage pony tails for students with long hair
