This year the Octorara Middle School is recycling! Students are encouraged to seperate plastic bottles and paper in their homerooms where they will be collected by student council. Recycling bins are also located in various places throughout the building. Students are taught in science class to be environmentally friendly, so we are trying to help put this into practice.

If you know of a student that is in the hospital or very sick for more than a week, have your student council representative bring a Sunshine Slip to Room 229. Depending on the students condition, student council will send a card and/or balloons to the sick student.

This year, as in years past, the Octorara Middle School Student Council is collecting Moo Money lids from specially marked Turkey Hill products, Box Tops for Education from General Mills products, and the bar codes and graduation boy from Cambell's Soup. Collecting these items helps to pay for the recreational equipment at our school. It also helps students come together as a homeroom and help each other collect the most they can for our school.
